Lynne Percival

Lynne has been the Administrator at the Project since 2016 and has contributed to thousands of pounds of funding coming to Patchwork and Benwell. Having been in the charity sector nearing her whole life Lynne adds to the team a deeper understanding of the sector and the different narratives or directions things can be heading. Her role as admin has been vital in the success of the project, she has been responsible for submitting finances, finalisation of funding, budgets, and wages. Michael once said “without Lynne the project wouldn’t survive” which was clear after Michael passed away, Lynne has given 1 to 1 learning sessions to all the staff on how the behind the scenes of the project work.

All of this is just Lynnes administrative role and doesn’t take into account her truly caring, compassionate personality. A Mother and Grandmother Lynne is like everyone’s go to, she has been doing 1 to 1 work with the whole community alongside. Everyone in the community has memories sitting in the back with a cuppa being supported by Lynne. She is worshipped by many of the older young people in the community.

Lynne has recently dropped down to one day a week, now part-retired; she loves to travel and spend time with her family but still makes time to contribute to the running of Patchwork and for the people of Benwell.
